I am in my new home.. La Fuente (the fountain)… and I can tell I am going to have to learn to be patient. Things go a lot slower here. I have a room with a dirt floor and last night I had a nice little friend to sleep with… a teenie little brown mouse.. I made him leave though. I didn´t feel like sharing my bed. I spent most of the day unpacking everything and then hung out with the family. Getting projects going is not going to be the quickest thing either, but I have hope and know things will happen. I keep thinking back to other volunteers and what they thought when they begin and to see now what they have accomplished and what they are in the process of doing. I know I can do the same!
Well here is my new updated address to send me goodies at:
PCV Joanna K Miller, Apartado Postal #366, León, Nicaragua, Central America
Much love to you all!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Ah! Your little mouse story reminds me of the apartment we had in Russia. A little gray mouse lived there, and he would come out a night to eat any crumbs, even the tiniest, he could find. But when he found a bit of chocolate, he would eat it up, and then twirl around in the middle of the floor in ecstasy (we think!). Blessings, Joanna, because we know for sure you are going to do great things. Mrs.Wade

The training was worth it just to know what to expect or what not to expect.
You may come to love your dirt floor before it is covered with concrete. There is a new children’s movie here in the US about a tiny mouse with oversized ears …
